First, if they are believers, how do we understand the concept of salvation in Hebrews? Is salvation merely a future deliverance for those who are “to inherit salvation” (κληρονομεῖν σωτηρίαν, 1:14)? Is it limited to those who are “diligent to enter” (σπουδάσωμεν … εἰσελθεῖν) God’s rest (4:11)? Or is salvation guaranteed to those who are being brought “to glory” (πολλοὺς υἱοὺς εἰς δόξαν ἀγαγόντα, 2:10), and are “receiving an unshakeable kingdom” (βασιλείαν ἀσάλευτον παραλαμβάνοντες,
